Roamset Chrome extension: save stops from any travel site
Install the Roamset extension to save Google Maps pins, YouTube videos, and articles into your trip inbox.
·7 min read
The Roamset Chrome extension is the fastest way to capture travel intent while you are still browsing. Instead of emailing yourself links or dropping pins into a note app, you save directly into a trip on roamset.app with the same account you use in the planner.
What you can save
- Google Maps places and search results
- YouTube travel videos (for place extraction on the web app)
- Blog posts and booking pages as links
- Documents when you need receipts or PDFs on the trip
Install once, use on every trip
Search the Chrome Web Store for “Roamset” or “Roamset Save to Trip”, install, and sign in with your Roamset account. A floating save chip appears on supported sites. You pick the trip, confirm the save, and continue watching or reading.
After you save
Open your trip in the Roamset planner. Imports appear in the Places panel. For videos and articles, Roamset can suggest candidate stops; you verify the ones you want, then schedule them on the map. Verified places stay on your itinerary even if you remove the original import.
Tips for cleaner saves
- Set your trip destination when you create the trip so verification matches the right city.
- Save the YouTube video once per source; avoid duplicate imports of the same URL.
- Use one trip per vacation so all pins share one map and day list.
