How to use Roamset: your first trip in 15 minutes

This guide assumes you are new to Roamset at roamset.app. You will create one trip, save one source from the web, verify at least one place, and put it on the map for Day 1. That is enough to feel how the Roamset trip planner works end to end.

1. Create a trip with a destination

Sign up, click New trip, and set the city or region you are visiting. Destination helps Roamset match place names when you verify stops later.

2. Save something from the browser

Install the Roamset Chrome extension. On a YouTube travel video or a travel blog, use the floating save button or extension popup, pick your trip, and confirm. For Google Maps, the extension saves the page link and title; for full Maps import, paste the same URL in the planner’s import field.

3. Verify places in the planner

Open the trip → Places. For videos and articles, run extraction if needed, then verify each stop you want on the map. Verified places get a pin and stay on your itinerary even if you delete the original import.

4. Schedule Day 1

Drag verified stops onto Day 1. Zoom the map — if pins are far apart, move one to Day 2 or drop it. Refresh routing when you want travel time between stops.

What to do next

  • Save two more sources before you over-edit Day 1.
  • Invite a collaborator if someone else is finding links.
  • Read the holiday checklist if you are planning peak-season travel.
